Openness
Openness is how easily the resources can be obtained or shared.
Why?
Openness allows for more people to modify a source, and allows it to be of service to more people. More people being able to access the resource allows more people to benefit from a resource.
How?
Content can be made more open by being free, open resource, and allowing modifications can all contribute to the openness of a resource.
Accessibility
Accessibility is how usable the resource is for as many people as possible
Why?
Accessibility allows for a more of the people using a source to use it comfortably. Not only does it allow more people to use the source, many accessibility settings end up increasing the ease of use to those who didn’t originally require the accommodation.
How?
Some examples of accessibility in the digital space are bigger font sizes, color, composition, organization, and headings and alternative text for screen readers.
