Katie is a sophomore at the University of Mary Washington. She grew up in Virginia Beach where she hung out with friends, went to the beach, and played sports. She played soccer, basketball, and field hockey up until her senior year of high school. During that time, she decided to pursue only field hockey at a higher level. She verbally committed to play field hockey at UMW in 2022. Now, she is a soon to be Communications and Digital Studies major at the University, and is playing her second year of hockey.
