The internet is a worldwide privilege that should be accessible to all. Everyone should have access to the internet whether it something work related like submitting a business plan, or socially oriented like doomscrolling on Tiktok. The internet is something that everyone should have access to.

Why:
The open availability of the internet allows for people and businesses to reach each other and communicate. As well as gives a space for people to speak and relay information more efficiently. Being able to freely go on the internet whenever you need or want to is what makes the internet so great. It has become a tool of modern society and becomes almost essential.
How:
Anyone and everyone can make something that would be useful for someone else using the internet. Whether it’s knowledge, a skill, or personal experiences, it can provide usefulness for others. If more people would engage with the mindset of helping others by sharing, there’s no telling how much we could improve or expand.
Accessibility
Why:
Unfortunately, many don’t have the ability to use the internet to its full potential due to disabilities. Being blind or deaf hinders one’s ability to fully use the internet. Thankfully, from progressions in technology, accommodations have been made to close the gap made by these disabilities like screen narration and closed captioning.
How:
Creating accessible content may seem like extra work, but it improves both usership and design. Using clear headings, utilizing colors, narration, captions and navigation elements makes a website easier to use and more visually appealing. Adding alt text to images, buttons, and icons allow users to communicate information to readers with visual disabilities. With the many accessibility resources available on the open web, creating inclusive content is a lot easier than most may think.
