Project 6

Site Icon Choice

I decided to do a pink heart for my site icon because my favorite color is pink and I like hearts so I thought it was fitting. I also like the idea of customizing it with my initials.

Site Icon Process

I used vectr a graphics editor to make this icon. I chose my shape and edited the size and color. I then added my initials and edited the color and font. Lastly I exported my image as a 512 x 512 pixel png. so I could upload it to my site.

Header Image Choice

I chose this header because I liked the background design and that I could add my name in the corner. I also wanted a template that I could add images to since it is for my personal website and I thought it made it more personable.

Header Image Process

For my header I used Canva another graphic design tool. The program is fairly easy to use I found the template I liked and thought would work best as my header and then customize it with my blog name and images. I then saved it as a PNG. so I could upload it to my site.

It allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, for noncommercial purposes only. I wanted this CC license because it allows people to still use and build upon my work but still requires them to give me some credit for it.

Welcome To My Blog!

The name of my blog is Cait Burch’s Blog. I choose this name because all of my friends refer to me as Cait or Cait Burch so I thought it would be fitting to use this as my blog name. I also believe it will be easier to remember and I like the simplicity of it.
